The PR-V 51 contains many variants in la Valldigna that lead to elements of interest.
The main route starts in Escorxador de Tavernes de la Valldigna street, crosses the bridge over the Vaca river and takes an orange grove path.
Pay attention to the directions, as there are many detours. Continue along the path until after 2 km away la Senda de les Voltes d’Albaida starts. We zigzag up another 2 km. After this series of curves, we reach a point where the path loses its unevenness and begins a path with false plains between two hills, for another couple of km.
We go along this road to a forest path, where we have to turn right taking the path that goes up; this path, semi-asphalted, leads us to a TV repeater, at this point we continue the path. After about 500 m, the PR – V 183 joins the road to Barx for about 1 km, until it leaves us because it takes a path on the left. We must be careful at this point, because it is not correctly signposted and we could turn off on the route of another route.
Our route continues along the road for about 3 km , and we turn left before reaching les Foies. This path will take us to Mondúver. The end of this path comes when we find the asphalted track that we will take on the left side and that will lead us to the summit. From this point we will return down the asphalted track until we enter to La Drova urbanization. We turn right, where after 1 km you will reach Barx. We will continue along the road to Simat for about 500 m, until we reach a point where the path enters the mountain passing through a farm. After half an hour walking and leaving the detour to Cova de les Malladetes, we will reach la Font del Cirer.
Once at the fountain, we take the beginning of the path marked by a couple of trees on the other side of the road. The path will take us to the aqueduct of el monestir Santa Maria de la Valldigna de Simat. The path will end at the Simat road, which we will have to follow down the coast to the village. From now on, the route will run along a path between orange groves, towards Tavernes de la Valldigna, to el Clot de la Font, a couple of kilometres from Tavernes and finally to the town centre.
