Mountainous landscapes with large visual basins.
El Paratge Natural Municipal Parpalló-Borrell is a protected natural area of 560 hectares. Located in the municipality of Gandia, it was declared by the Council of la Generalitat Valenciana on 30th of April, 2004.
In this location we can enjoy mountainous landscapes with large visual basins, typically Mediterranean vegetation, water-modelled reliefs that generate structures such as caves, chasms, etc., very abundant throughout the place. The fauna that inhabits this space is numerous, especially the group of birds. And we must not forget the presence of la Cova del Parpalló, a cave that is of Cultural Interest and reference of the Upper Mediterranean Paleolithic.
This group of ecological, landscape, natural and cultural values has made this space worthy of protection.
